Magic Mountain is based at Kullaberg in Skåne – one of Sweden's most magical and mythical places. Here, where dramatic cliffs meet the sea and ancient forests hold centuries of stories, we create visual narratives that merge traditional filmmaking craft with AI's new creative possibilities.
We draw our strength and inspiration from nature. The raw power of the ocean, the mystery of fog-wrapped forests, the clarity of Nordic light – this is where our creative process begins. Not in algorithms, but in the elemental forces that have inspired storytellers for millennia.
I'm Håkan Lindhé. For over thirty years, I've written and directed for theatre, opera, film, and television. Three years ago, I moved from Stockholm to Kullaberg – not to step back, but to step forward. To reconnect with what matters most in storytelling: authenticity, emotional truth, and the courage to explore new creative territories.
Through Magic Mountain I work with AI-powered filmmaking – but I never lose sight of what makes stories matter. The technology allows me to visualize worlds that were previously impossible to reach. But the heart of what I do remains unchanged: strong narrative, visual precision, emotional resonance, and human truth.
What I create with AI must feel real. Not perfect. Not generic. Real. Because in the end, no tool – however powerful – can replace intention, vision, and the ability to touch something true in the viewer. That's craft. That's what I've spent decades learning. And that's what I bring to every project. At Magic Mountain, technology serves story. Always.
